A crew from MKP Enterprises began the process of demolishing the rodeo arena in Spanish Fork, Utah, Sept. 19 to make way for a bigger facility for the Fiesta Days Rodeo. An anonymous donor recently came forward with the $3 million needed to complete the project. The demolition is expected to take three weeks and MKP will recycle all the metal, wood and concrete from the 66-year-old arena.

QUOTE OF THE WEEK
“We’ve done pretty well this year, but this is more than kind of cool. This is something you live for. Like they say, when you set a record, they write your name down and it never goes away.”
– Team roper Shane Bessette, talking about tying the arena record of 4.8 seconds at the Pendleton (Ore.) Round-Up with his 19-year old son, Shawn.
