ARLINGTON, Texas – The PBR’s (Professional Bull Riders) second PBR Major of the 2016 Built Ford Tough Series (BFTS), the Choctaw Casino Iron Cowboy powered by Kawasaki, will bring all the heart-stopping excitement of the ‘toughest sport on dirt’ to Arlington, Texas, during the richest weekend in Western sports, Feb. 27-28.
Besides the snot-slinging, 8-second adrenaline rush that will happen on the dirt in AT&T Stadium, the family-friendly atmosphere of the PBR Fan Experience (FanX) outside will provide fun for all ages highlighted with concerts by Cowboy Dave Band, Green River Ordinance and Kyle Park as well as Riding High Ministries Cowboy Church.
Bringing fans Western lifestyle entertainment and fun, PBR FanX and RFD-TV’s AMERICAN Fan Zone will open at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 27, and at 8 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 28. It will be located in the AT&T Stadium Silver Lot No. 4, on the corner of Randol Mill Road and Legends Way. FanX is free of charge to the public both days. Parking fees may apply at the stadium, fans will be able to leave and return prior to 3 p.m. on Saturday without being charged again.
This year’s FanX kicks off Saturday morning with an autograph session at 10:30 a.m. featuring all of the Top 40 PBR stars competing in the Iron Cowboy. The athletes will be located at PBR sponsor booths throughout FanX. Fan favorites, the Chris Shivers’ Miniature Bull Riders and Flint Rasmussen’s Outside the Barrel show featuring the Dickies Bullfighters, are also on tap.
Along with all that the fan zone has to offer, several musical acts will hit the FanX Stage throughout the day, as well. The Cowboy Dave Band, a honky-tonk group based in Colorado will play at 10:30 a.m. before Riding High Ministries performs a 45-minute church service at 1:30 p.m.
Riding High Ministries and Harvest America, an annual live nationwide event, streamed to thousands of locations including churches, theaters and living rooms, have joined together this year to not only provide church service, but to also highlight Texas-based band, Green River Ordinance (GRO). GRO has toured with such band as Goo Goo Dolls, Collective Soul, Train and Lifehouse.
The four-member band from Fort Worth will take the stage at 2:15 p.m. GRO is known to walk the lines of country, rock, pop and folk. The band has been together since 2003 and just recently released its fourth full-length studio album.
Kyle Park, a Texas country singer-songwriter from Austin, has been performing since he was 14 years old. The Texas native released his fifth album last year and brings a fan base to FanX that travels to his nearly 200 concerts each year. Park will perform at FanX starting at 4:30 p.m.

The Choctaw Iron Cowboy powered by Kawasaki will begin at 5:50 p.m., doors open at 4:20. This will be the seventh consecutive year that the PBR has visited AT&T Stadium with its Iron Cowboy event. It is also the only Built Ford Tough Series event in Texas this season.
As the second PBR Major of the 2016 BFTS season, the Iron Cowboy includes a unique format, awarding increased points and prize money to its winners. It will feature 40 of the top PBR stars from the BFTS and the PBR’s BlueDEF Tour, the PBR’s qualifying tour, competing to determine who can ride the most consecutive bulls in one evening. The prize purse includes a $100,000 payout to the winner, as well as the opportunity for one rider to ride the Bad Boy Mowers Bounty Bull for an additional $25,000.
CBS Sports Network will broadcast the first rounds of the competition at 9 p.m. ET on Saturday, Feb. 27. Fans can also watch all of the action in real time on PBR LIVE located online at www.pbr.com/live, or via the PBR LIVE app which is available for download now on Google Play and iTunes.
The final championship round will air on CBS Sports on Sunday at 12:30 p.m. ET.
The Iron Cowboy kicks off the richest weekend in Western sports history, taking place one day before THE AMERICAN, the sport’s richest one-day rodeo.
