BREMERTON, Wash. – The Seminole Hard Rock Xtreme Bulls Tour presented by B&W Trailer Hitchesreturns to Bremerton on Sunday, Aug. 28 to provide the closing act for the annual Kitsap County Stampede. The Kitsap County tour stop is featured as part of the PRCA’s nationally-televised programming on Great American Country (GAC) – and it offers an “all-star lineup” of PRCA bull riders.
Forty of the world’s top bull riders will converge on the Kitsap County Outdoor Arena to take their shot at the prestigious Kitsap County Xtreme Bulls title. The headliners scheduled to compete at Kitsap County will include Washington’s own Shane Proctor who is leading the PRCA bull riding world standings as well as the Xtreme Bulls Tour standings. Proctor has two Xtreme Bull Tour wins this season (San Antonio, Tex. & Cody, Wyo.) and has total earnings of $127,096 to date.
The event will also feature 21 of the top 25 PRCA bull riders in the current 2011 world standings. The group includes 10 of the 15 bull riding qualifiers from the 2010 Wrangler National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas matched against the rankest PRCA bulls, many of which were selected for this past December’s Wrangler NFR.
Among the best of the livestock stars competing at the Kitsap County Xtreme Bulls are:
• “Little Juicy” – Kish/Growney Rodeo Company; a 2010 Wrangler NFR bull with a 61 percent buck-off rate; ridden by Steve Woolsey at the 2010 Canby (Ore.) Rodeo for 91 points.
• “Touch of Class” – another Kish/Growney Rodeo Company bull; he has been ridden by Wes Silcox at Santa Maria, Calif., for 93 points.
All 40 riders will compete in a long-go on Aug. 28, beginning at 1 p.m. (PT), and the top 12 will be brought back for the finals, where the Kitsap County Xtreme Bulls champion will be crowned based on the highest total score.
The payout for the Kitsap County Xtreme Bulls event is $40,000. Monies won at Seminole Hard Rock Xtreme Bulls Tourstops count towards the 2011 PRCA World Standings, which determine qualifiers for the Dec. 1-10 Wrangler NFR.
