The California Farm Bureau will honor ProRodeo Hall of Famer Cotton Rosser with the first-ever California Bountiful Foundation Public Outreach Award at its inaugural California Bountiful Gala Sept. 30. The new California Bountiful Foundation was created to support agricultural research, education and public outreach for the advancement and preservation of all farmers and ranchers. Rosser is being recognized for his lifetime contributions and innovative, effective approach to public outreach and education on behalf of the entire farming and ranching community. The California Bountiful Gala will be held at the Madonna Inn in San Luis Obispo, and will feature special guest and cowboy poet and humorist Baxter Black.
