Rodeo... a lost sport?

As southerners that have relocated to the southwest, we were happy to find that rodeo is still alive and well in the west.  However, it has become painfully obvious that the opportunity to see real, live, rodeo events is growing slimmer by the day.  Tell us about your rodeo experiences, concerns, and favorites.
